Marianne Kavanagh is an author and journalist.

She has worked as an editor and features writer for a wide variety of national newspapers, magazines and websites.

As a Fellow of the Royal Literary Fund, she has helped students at Goldsmiths, University of London, with their academic writing, and delivers RLF Bridge workshops to students aged 16 – 18 in schools nationwide.

She has three grown-up children – a journalist, a stand-up comic and a textiles designer.

She lives in south-east London with her husband Matt and two extraordinarily annoying cats.
